Nicola da Silva Q&A

What do you enjoy most about teaching Maths, Mindfulness, and PE?

Answer:

I enjoy the balance these subjects bring to the school day. Maths develops logical thinking and problem solving, PE builds confidence and resilience, and Mindfulness supports emotional wellbeing. Together, they help students grow both intellectually and personally.

Answer:

I focus on breaking problems down into manageable steps and encouraging a positive mindset. With patience and the right support, students often realise they are capable of far more than they initially believe. Building confidence is just as important as mastering the content.

Answer:

Mindfulness and physical activity help students manage stress, improve focus, and maintain a healthy balance. When students feel calm and physically active, they are better prepared to learn, collaborate, and perform at their best in the classroom.
