Michelle Hooton Q&A
What do you hope students gain from your lessons beyond physical skills?
Answer:
I hope students develop confidence in themselves and learn the value of perseverance. Physical education is not just about sport, it is about resilience, teamwork, and understanding that progress comes through effort. These are skills they will carry with them long after they leave school.
Why are life skills and mindfulness important for students today?
Answer:
Life skills and mindfulness help students understand themselves and the world around them. They learn how to manage stress, communicate effectively, and make thoughtful decisions. In a fast paced world, giving students the tools to slow down, reflect, and stay balanced is incredibly valuable.
What do you enjoy most about teaching at Aspire International School?
Answer:
I enjoy the close relationships we build with students. With small class sizes, you really get to know each individual and support their personal growth. It is rewarding to see students become more confident, not just physically, but emotionally and socially as well.
