With over 12 years’ experience in education, Micaela has worked with students and teachers in a range of settings in Dubai and Portugal, teaching across Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.
In her current role as a coordinator at Aspire International School, she supports classroom teachers and teaching assistants across Preschool and Primary, helping to create an academically engaging and nurturing learning environment.
Passionate about teaching Portuguese as a second language, Micaela aspires to lead and teach within a bilingual setting that encourages creativity, curiosity, and kindness.

What is your role as Primary Coordinator?
Answer:
My role is to support both students and teachers to ensure a consistent, high quality learning experience across the primary school. I work closely with staff to develop the curriculum, share best practice, and make sure every child is supported to reach their full potential.
What makes the primary years so important?
Answer:
The primary years lay the foundation for all future learning. This is when children develop core skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication, as well as confidence, independence, and a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their education.
What do you enjoy most about working with primary students?
Answer:
I love seeing their curiosity and enthusiasm each day. Primary students are eager to learn and grow, and it is incredibly rewarding to watch their progress, both academically and personally, as they gain confidence and discover their strengths.
