Following an early, and brief, career in press and political affairs, Kathryn re-trained as a secondary English teacher in 2003. She has worked in both the comprehensive system in her native Wales and in the independent international sector in Spain, Italy and now Portugal. As a teacher, her focus is instilling a love of reading and literature in her students, and this remains a passion. As one of the founders of AIS, her vision for the school is a place where all young people can discover who they are and where they shine and then provide multiple opportunities for them to do so!
