Charlene was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She obtained her B-Ed teaching degree at Wits University, specializing in Foundation Phase and Early Childhood development and has been teaching since 2008. Charlene believes in building strong relationships, based on mutual respect, open communication and routine, with both students and parents alike. Her preferred method of teaching is one which promotes creativity and learning through play, making learning fun and enabling each child to reach their full potential! AIS has provided her with the environment in which to do just that. It is with this vision, that she leads Key Stage 1, with a fantastic team of teachers and colleagues!
