After completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, Daniela gained experience teaching primary school children of all ages across a range of subjects. After emigrating to Portugal with her family, she joined Aspire International School.
Daniela is passionate about developing each child holistically and carefully considers every pupil’s individual needs. She creates a warm, caring classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported.
As Head of Key Stage 2, Daniela’s aim is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of every child she teaches, inspiring a positive attitude towards learning and a lifelong love of education.

What do you enjoy most about teaching in Key Stage 2?
Answer:
Key Stage 2 is a wonderful stage where students become more independent and curious about the world. I enjoy helping them build confidence in their abilities and watching their personalities and interests develop as they grow.
What is your approach as a Key Stage 2 Leader?
Answer:
My focus is on creating a supportive and consistent learning environment where both students and teachers can thrive. I work closely with the team to ensure lessons are engaging, challenging, and tailored to meet the needs of every child.
What do you hope your students gain during their time in your class?
Answer:
I hope students leave with strong academic foundations, confidence in themselves, and a love of learning. Just as importantly, I want them to develop resilience, curiosity, and the skills they need to succeed in the years ahead.
